I tried to sneak in a post during boarding / right before takeoff and learned two valuable lessons, trying to publish a post with images with an unstable connection is a bad idea and not backing up the post before I publish is a bad idea. Who knew. I think I'll have to edit in images later unless I'm somewhere with a solid connection.
Now to reconstruct the original post as I write here from the plane at 2am my original time... Something about how we're about to board! No wait 10mins then we board. OK boarding. Huh aisle seat in middle section, I guess it could be worse. Then it even turned out I had the whole row of four to myself! Though (and this is breaking the reconstruction a bit, strictly speaking) later during my slumber someone sat on opposite edge. Then something about how see all none of you readers in Zurich, cough comment about how at least one person reads! I inserted a quick picture of my seat at the end which is what caused the publish to fail since the data connection on the runway was very tenuous.
Now onto the flight itself, unsurprisingly I slept most of it which once upon a time would have been unheard of given how much I love flying but I guess I've become pragmatic. I'm still a bit sad since I missed out on valuable airplane time but it was just and necessary. Anywho, we should be landing in around 30mins as I write this very sentence. Before I passed out had some lasagna they served in the plane which was nice and cheesy. I didn't mention it before but I think the interests of food tracking had Shake Shack at the airport, their mushroom patty was surprisingly good, crispy! Sorry if I'm a bit disjointed but I think it's funner that way? I'm about 1 hour into Antman which is very eh so far but I guess I'm too far in to stop now. I guess I'll save the post here and pick up briefly after arriving in Zurich and then write the next thing from the next plane. Spoiler (I hope): "wow, customs so good I just had to flash my passport and that's it ❤ Europe".
Oh last thing. Writing these from my phone is surprisingly painless though I'm not proofreading too much so expect lots of SwiftKey-y errors every now and then. OK now to wait for realsies (hmph it doesn't believe realsies is a real word, how rude). Also as a reminder to myself where to pick up the movie, I'm at 1h12m. Oh another random thought, I almost said wtb window seat but I guess I actually had the option to buy and didn't so not really willing 😋. Now 10mins to landing. Huh, landing didn't even interrupt my movie, truly living in the future. 1h26m now. Still eh movie.
Oh did I say customs would be fast? More like no customs, God Europe is nice. OK more later o/
